Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival

Marcelo Gimenes plays along with an iMe agent (Interactive Musical Environments) at the Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival 2008, Plymouth, UK.

Interactive Musical Environments (iMe) is a real-time computer music system that enables the interaction between human musicians and software agents through the practice of improvised music. It is well suited to be used in areas such as the investigation of musical styles, the study of creativity as well as a generative tool for computer aided algorithmic composition. In addition, iMe can be used to evaluate how musical influence can lead to particular musical world-views through processes involved in music perception and cognition.
